Especially when you insert a pendrive virus may run automatically. So if you not happy with this feature you may disable this auto play option. ·          Press Windows key +R , then run option come and write “ gpedit.msc ”. ·          From the Group Policy, User Configuration > Administrative Templates > System > Turn off Autoplay > Enable > Now from “ Turn off Autoplay on: ” dropdown menu select “ All drives ”> Ok . Generally virus enters in our computer by the pendrive. So we need to scan our pendrive by an antivirus. You can also delete virus by yourself without the help of antivirus. Just you need to write a small program in " notepad " and save it " .bat " format. But sometime problem occurs to save notepad file as " .bat " file format. To solve this problem- Go to My Computer>Tools>Folder Options>View From the " Advance settings " disable the check mark from " Hide extensions for known file types ". Now press " Ok ". Generally the file system of pendrive is FAT or FAT32. There is no compression system in FAT or FAT32 file system. But we can compress NTFS file system. So if we convert our pendrive file system then we can compress our pendrive files that is why we can expand our pendrive space. In windows XP we can convert FAT or FAT32 to NTFS. Just follow those steps- Go to run and write " cmd". Now write " convert X: /FS:NTFS" and press enter . Here X is variable. You must write your pendrive letter in your system. If your pendrive contain " H " letter then you must type " convert H: /FS:NTFS ". Now your pendrive is NTFS file system. Go to My computer > Right click on your pendrive icon > Properties > Check the "Compress Drive to Save Disk Space" box > Ok. Now check the Apply To Sub Folders and Files option and click ok .
